A Request

If you read this sad little blog on a regular basis, or maybe you just check it out irregularly, leave me a comment and tell me about yourself. Do you race bikes? Do you follow the pro peloton? Where are you from? Do I know you personally?

Post a comment and drop some knowledge on me. Thanks.

(EDIT: I have changed the setting to allow anyone to comment, not just Blogger members, so feel free to make anonymous verbal attacks. Thanks.)

  • At least I know now that I'm not the biggest dork in the Louisville racing scene. Sean Steele definitely has me beat.

  • Who has time to sleep when there are still so many intervals left to do?

  • Hey man, been reading for a while after seeing the link on fatty's site. It's good to see guys coming up through the ranks. Just a note on the crash post...Even us fast guys crash. I was in a 20-25 man pile-up last weekend out here in a P1/2 race in Colorado. Snapped my fork in two and detonated my front wheel. We do crash, it may be less often, but it's also almost always more spectacular. Good luck moving out of fodder status I'll keep checking on the progress. I don't expect much these next few weeks, myself but NRC races tend to be kinda fast, maybe I can pull out a top 10 or something, wish me luck.

  • I've been reading this blog for a while. I live in Norway, so you probably don't know me. I've been racing for a year or so.

Oh, and by the way, in December I was able to register some free .be-domains, and without knowing why, I registered www.pelotonfodder.be . Since I don't need really need the domain, I've forwarded it to your blog.

    Keep up the blogging :)

  • Read you through the feeds, just like to know what's happening around the world re racing culture and personal POV's about cycling.

I'm based in Sydney Australia, no longer race and do follow the Pro scene.

    Enjoying your stuff.

  • You don't know me. I'm a 47 year old resident of Cincinnati who's been riding bikes for 4 years. A 2000 mile year is a good year for me in between working and being a dad. I've never been athletic or coordinated and biking is the first sport I've ever been moderately interested in. I don't race, I barely go to see local races but I do follow the pros. Mostly because I can do it at my desk while I work. I'm enjoying reading about your entry into competitive cycling. I might have tried it had I discovered cycling 20 years earlier.

  • I'm 25, from New Zealand. Been reading your blog for a while. Can't remember when I started. I'm still too fat and slow to race, but I'm going to have a crack at it next summer.

And, at the moment, I ride in full QuickStep gear, but just because I really like the Vermarc stuff, and I can't get it in any other colours. I'm no Boonen groupie. Anyway, my bike frame is mostly blue, so it kind of matches. Gotta look good when you're always at the back of the pack.

  • Joe,

I think your blog is great & I really the race photos you post (especially the ones with us Team Louisville guys sitting in your draft... ready to challenge you guys on every attack). Plus, its always good to gain perspective on local cycling events from others in our community.

    Keep it up!

  • Know nothing about racing, I only know about Lance Armstrong and that he admitted to using something in, like, 1996 I think it was.

I read your comment on people posting their information on their profiles on websites like Myspace. I agree with you by the way, pretty stupid to put anything up that you wouldn't want your mom seeing. Pretty bored, which is my reason for commenting in the first place. I rather be bored than busy though. Which is why I love summer. No school.

Doubt you know me, I live in Camden and I'm 15. Ha.
